This book had a couple of good parts (the scene where he finally reunites with Sarah and what happens immediately after is fun).
But I think if every part of the narrative that could be summarized as "Then a bunch of Mogadorians attacked. It was tough, but we dusted them one by one." was shortened to just that instead of what's in there, the book would be about 40% shorter.
I remember a movie reviewer on YouTube that had a bit where he referred to some scenes as, "Then they fight... fight, fight, fight... fight, fight, fight...." and that's what the outline of this book seemed to be.
It's a shame because the first book was good enough of a premise to get me to try the 2nd one, but I don't think I can be compelled to push through the series.
